Girl Charlee UK & Europe: Tutorial Tuesday Audrey Cape & Side Button Sweater

Audrey Cape & Side Button Sweater
This week we have a two for one on our Tutorial - An elegant Audrey Hepburn inspired cape by Anna at In Honor of Design and a cute side button sweater by Alexia at The Sewing Rabbit.  Both are stylish, simple to sew, and can be easily adapted for adults or children.

The cape uses a simple pattern and process -
Materials (Adult size):
2 metres of fabric
4 metres Velvet Ribbon – 2.5cm width
2 Buttons
2 Hook and Latch Clasps
A Ponte De Roma or Sweatshirt Fleece fabric would work great for this and we have loads to choose from, a few of our picks from the site -
The side button sweater is possibly the easiest pattern and make you will find! -
Materials (Children's size):
1 metre of fabric
6 Buttons
(That's it!)
But the finished look is great and so comfy to wear (as my niece Lydia shows here) -
Again, a Ponte De Roma is perfect for this top, warm, soft and with a great drape -
