Tutorial Tuesday: No Sew Knit Projects!

No Sew Knit Projects!
Over the half term break, I was looking for some fun ideas to keep the kids occupied and also some projects I could do which were simple and didn't require much sewing.  I was surprised at just how many great "No-Sew" projects there are out there, so this week's Tutorial Tuesday is focusing on beautiful things you can make without a needle and thread!
So if you need a break from your sewing machine, or are looking for crafts and projects that require minimal amounts of materials and can be done almost anywhere, here are some great ideas for you.
Just grab some fabric and start creating!
A definite winner with my daughter!  A lightweight cotton jersey or cotton lycra with a good stretch would be perfect for this project. This is a great opportunity to try mixing unexpected colors and patterns. A few of my picks from the store:
Great for those chilly nights and to show off a great belt.  Any soft, stretchy knit fabric will make a perfectly wearable year round vest. A few of my picks from the store:
Great for special occasions (Christmas, Easter, Birthday) or just as a beautiful home decoration, this wreath is great for using up scraps and small bits of fabrics left over from other projects.
A great project to do with the kids that creates the perfect place to take a break from summer activities and catch up on some reading.  To make this teepee, you need various strips of fabric in all different sizes and colors. A few of my picks from the store:
This stunning blanket cape looks incredible, real high end fashion without the cost (and the sewing!)  One of our Ponte De Roma or Hacci Sweater fabrics would be perfect, a few of my picks from the store:
With two kids and a dog my pillows get dirty very quickly so I love this quick fix!  A light-mid weight knit with minimal stretch, like a cotton jersey blend, would be ideal for this pillow cover. A few of my picks from the store:
Perfect for parties. Any lightweight, double sided fabric will make for great fabric tassels. Another great project for those leftover scraps!
I have several of these in the house, I love them!  Any type of fabric would work for these wall panels, so pick your fabrics based on prints, colors, and/or patterns. In Bella Dia's example, each pattern is different, but they all have a similar colour scheme. A few of my picks from the store:
