Tutorial Tuesday: Strawberry Bag

Now that plastic bags are becoming a thing of the past (thank goodness!) I have been looking for a solution to replace the horrible reusable bags I have scattered in my car for shopping!

So I was overjoyed to come across this fantastic Strawberry Bag from Lorraine on her ikatbag blog.  Lorraine has solved all my problems, by putting a handle on her simple bag tutorial AND making it into the shape of an adorable strawberry.  Yes please!
Lorraine's instructions are so easy to follow. She includes several pictures to help readers follow along. Here, for example, are the supplies that you need for the strawberry corner and the bag straps.

Considering how easy this tutorial is, I may need to make several... this bag is just so adorable!

Most knits would work great for a shopping bag like this one. Don't forget to try it with a fun pattern! A few of my picks from the store to give that strawberry effect some sass:

  1. So excited by this tutorial! I bought some of these bags in a market in Hong Kong 6 years ago and always wanted to make some more but didn't want to take it apart to figure it out :)

    1. Glad you like, they are so cute! Lorraine's blog is really good and her instructions are nice and clear. No more horrible plastic bags!

  2. Good tutorial. I like your blog. Thanks for sharing.
