Tutorial Tuesday: Summer Cardigan

As the summer is proving to be a bit of a mixed bag, weather wise, today's tutorial is for a cardigan that can be worn whether the weather is good or bad!

This beautiful cardigan tutorial comes from the wonderful and talented Jen at iCandy Handmade.
There are free patterns to download for both Child & Adult sizes so you can make one for you and one for your mother/daughter/niece/friend!  Jen gives loads of great hints and tips in her tutorial.

This is another quick and simple make (2 hours), using just 1.25m of fabric.  The cardigan is perfect for layering with a summer top - not too hot in the sun, but giving you an extra layer so you are not left shivering if it's a bit cold!
You can use a Cotton Jersey/Cotton Lycra for a lightweight Cardigan, or a Hacci Sweater/French Terry/Ponte De Roma for a warmer/heavier version.  A few of my favourite picks below -
