Tutorial Tuesday: Headbands!

Don't know what to do with those scraps of fabric left over from all your knit projects?
How about making a cute hairband?  Fashionable, funky and practical, they take minutes to make and look fantastic!  A great accessory to your handmade wardrobe, you can match your outfit or contrast with a different colour/pattern.

Dana from Made Everyday with Dana has made this brilliant video tutorial with an introduction to sewing with knits and how to make these beautiful headbands.
There are many styles and combinations so you'll always have the perfect band to match your style.  40s/50s glamour with a modern twist!
You can use pretty much any type of knit fabric for your headbands, but Cotton Lycra or Cotton Jersey will work best.  A few of my favourite picks below -
